We have decided to offer Autumn and Winter riding this year as a result of so many of our established 'Off Piste Riding' guests requesting to come back out of season.

We will be offering day, weekend and mid week riding but it will be at a different rate and different type of riding, as we can only offer a couple of types of riding out of season due to the weather.

If you are a good rider and don't mind wet and sometimes windy winter conditions please feel free to ring and enquire about what we can offer you.

Some of our horses were poorly during July and August with a flu virus. They developed a nasty cough and we have had them under the vet and taking anti-biotics. Thankfully, they are now fit and well again but sadly we had to cancel a lot of guests as we were short of horses.

George, Ryan, Mary and Cassie escaped the virus and have been stalwarts at filling the gaps where they could. In fact George and Ryan are so fit and full of themselves now as they have been in work all Summer.

You will see from these pictures that George has become an even bigger character than ever. His old age defys him (thank goodness) and he continues to be a fast and challenging ride. He and Ryan have become a cheeky duo and an inseperable force!

The other day when the sun actually shone for a while Jemimah went to check Henry the foal who is now back home from being weaned. The picture shows what she found and in all the years of keeping horses we have NEVER seen a horse use another as a pillow.

The background to the story is - Trevor was lame for a few weeks so we turned him out with Henry and they immediately became the best of friends. Trevor who, to quote his owner, Trevor "is as kind as Christian" has taken up the mantle of caring for Henry and I think this picture just shows how loving horses can be and how content they both are.

It has the real aah factor!

As for the other horses they are all well and Naughty Boy is now being used for the riding holidays as he has settled to the work and established himself as a popular steed.
