LONGHAM BARN and LONGHAM LINHAY

We were very fortunate when we moved to Longham Farm in July of 2005 to take over two completely self-contained holiday cottages.

They were developed some 10 years ago and still to this day maintain most of the rustic charm of the old farm buildings that they once were.

The two are identical in layout both sleeping 4, (plus a baby cot) and have been recently redecorated to a high standard throughout.

You enter the cottage from a large raised decking area through double patio doors, stepping into a spacious well lit lounge with wood burning stove. The furniture is clean and comfortable. Both cottages have colour television.

Off to one side you enter a spacious kitchen/dining area. The kitchens have both recently been refitted and are fully equipped and have most of the 'mod cons' you would expect to find in a family home. There is also ample seating for four people to enjoy traditional family meals.

To the opposite aspect of the lounge are the stairs that go up into the sleeping accommodation.

The stairs open up into the spacious double bedroom. The bedroom furniture is tasteful and the beds are clean and comfortable with freshly laundered cotton bed linen. This is supplied by us and changed regularly. You would however need to bring towels.

The bathroom opens to one side of the master bedroom and has heated towel rails, wash basin, with vanity mirror, low level wc and large bath with shower overhead.

Also opening off the Master bedroom is the slightly smaller double room. This room has bunk beds that easily sleep two adults, or children safely.

Outside both the cottages we have fitted hot tubs, large enough to take 4 people comfortably. These are available to cottage occupants. Heated to 38 degrees constantly they have proved to be a tremendous success with our guests.

For those people who would prefer to enjoy the 'OFF PISTE RIDING' experience with a little more privacy and would prefer not to be looked after by us in our home or for reasons of cost it may be possible for guests to enjoy the cottages and look after themselves on a self-catering basis for the duration of their stay with us.

The price structure in this case would obviously be different to that of those wishing to join us in the traditional full board way.

For the out of season period (1st of November 2006 through to 1st of March 2007) a short 2 day break either mid week or at weekends with guests arriving after lunch and leaving 2 days later in the evening, the all inclusive cottage rental cost is £150.00 plus VAT.

For a full week during the same period (from Saturday to Saturday) the all inclusive cottage rental cost is £280.00 plus VAT.

During all other periods it may not be possible to rent the cottages for short 2 or 3 day breaks, but if this is of interest to you then please do telephone us and ask about availability for the period you require. It is possible to rent the cottages for a full week on a first come first served basis. The cost of this depends on the week you want.

It is also possible to rent the cottage for a week and then only ride every other day spending your free days just touring the magnificent Devon countryside in which we are privileged to live. Or if you'd rather you can just relax on the decking, or in the hot tub and simply chill out. This concept has been particularly popular with families in which not everyone wishes to ride or has an interest in horses.
